Telephone Bills and the fee/tax scam

How can a telephone bill go up month after month when you have changed nothing? Sure it only goes up by twenty or thirty cents here and there and it always seems to be in the tax section. Can they imagine one more fee/tax to come up with? My service is great Verizon but your nickel and diming is getting a little ridiculous! If Verizon did not have Fios or a competitor had fiber to the home I be gone.
